My approach is always to get him, and then develop his trade score exclusively, i.e., do not develop him in other areas, and do not develop my own trade score. He starts out with a decent Trade score (3 IIRC). There is an NPC named Marnid who was a merchant before he became an adventurer. The trade abilities make a big difference. My recollection was that, once you gain fiefs trading became impractical, so it was really best part of a "early to mid-game neutral player" strategy. Any ideas?Īssuming it is not a lot different in Warband, the way trading was setup in MB: it was best to treat trading as a parallel strategy to looter-interdiction, and other forms of fighting. I've killed roughly fifty deserters around the town in question but apparently none of them are the right ones. The problem is this, no one I ask has heard of them.

I've taken a mission from a Guildmaster to kill some Deserters who attacked some traders and now have a bounty on their heads. I don't want my hand held but some pointers would be welcome.Īlso, to avoid making another post for a quick question. So are there any regular trade routes or goods that always make a profit? Any expert traders out there who want to share their knowledge. I love trading in games like X3 but in Warband it just doesn't seem like a viable option. I know about asking the Guildmaster, but going to a town to find out what goods they want and trawling around lots of other towns to find one that sells that good at a reasonable price seems way too tedious.
